Rick
Ramirez was born and
raised in Los Angeles, California. As a Mexican-American he is also
very proud of his family heritage and hometown of Jalisco, Mexico.
He is competitive by nature, strives to be the best, and has a life
long history of playing organized sports.
During the
summer of 2005 Rick was first introduced to a dance formally known
as Salsa “LA Style”. He instantly realized a bond and passion for
this art form and challenged him-self to seek and learn from the
most credible instructors available to him.
More recent
Rick has continued to elevate his dance. With four years experience
he and his partner entertain and fascinate audiences with dips &
tricks and beautifully choreographed performances. He has also
performed as a dance member of JNDA Performance Dance Team,
SuavecitoMoves Dance Company, Ritmo y Salsa Dance Company, Cabio
Sile Dance Company, and is currently performing with one of the most
prestigious and sought after professional Latin dance groups in the
World; Salsabor Y Caché.
Yukiko
Fukushima was born in
Tokyo, Japan and later migrated to the United States. She is an
accomplished well-respected career woman by day and one of the most
dedicated and competitive Salsa performers by night. For more than
4 years Yukiko has tirelessly trained with the best instructors and
has persevered through a number of injuries. In spite of her
set-backs she has always managed to pick herself back up, maintain
her drive and direction. Yukiko has participated in Salsa dance
competitions at different levels and has been a dance performer with
Ritmo Y Salsa Dance Company and Cabio Sile Dance Company.
