Nueva Rumba was created in 2008 by SYC director Rogelio Moreno and co-director Alfredo Martinez. Our style is influenced by the origins of Afro-Cuban music, its traditions, and religion. Our goal is to present rumba; such as guaguanco, yambu, palo, columbia, etc.; with technicality, while still maintaining its street flavor.
